In an effort to reduce unemployement and it's long term effect on society, we have a long term goal of training and placing 800-1000 under-employed and long-term unemployed individuals in the Washington DC Metropolitan area under the umbrella of The One Computer Institute of Development (OCID) and in collaboration with local organizations, agencies and corporations. 

• One area of target is the Metropolitan area's high growth Information Technology and High-Technology sector that currently relies on H-1B Visa employees.  OCID will target the high demand jobs of Network Systems and Data Communication Analysts, Computer Software Engineers/ Applications, Computer Software Engineers/Systems, and Database Administrators.

• Other area's will be GED certification and general Workforce softskills, resume writing and interviewing skills.

OCID is currently seeking grants to provide Workforce Development training.  This training is intended to increase our potential candidates skills and their ability to find and retain gainful employment in general fields of employment, information technology and high technology fields.
